Private Backcare Sessions in Woodcliff Lake, NJ or NYC at Yoga Union. We use the tools of alignment based yoga, yoga therapy, ARPwave therapy, and appropriate strength work to improve posture, back pain, herniation, scoliosis, overall strength and prevent injuries.
All practices are personalized for your condition unlike a regular yoga or exercise class or gym training session which can cause further injury. From head to toe each misalignment or weakness affects the health and happiness of your spine and the same is true in reverse. Each private session will address your specific needs to build whole body awareness, stability and strength to realign and support your spine. If you have scoliosis, you will learn about your lateral curves, the rotation of your spine, and take action with curve specific scoliosis exercises to improve it. Some of my students have been to a Schroth Therapist, but are confused when they try to do the exercises on their own. I can help you clarify them. Even if you have a spinal fusion, you need to continue to work on your scoliosis and learn to support your fusion. Creating stability above and below the fusion where the back becomes hyper-mobile is vital. Progress always comes with consistent effort and right action! |
