Last year, a woman in her late 40s was referred to me. She had played competitive tennis for most of her life but injuries had taken their toll. While she had a very good professional career in the business world, she couldn't play the game she loved any longer.
It was around this time last year when she came in to see me. A frozen shoulder, neck pain, low back pain, leg cramps, ankles that needed to heal properly and a whole lot of discouragement. She had done the medical route but it seemed like tennis was just going to be a memory. After going through a few tests, I told her I believed her problem was a strength issue. But I had to get her to believe it. It gave her hope as we turned on a few neurological switches & she could feel muscles fire that had been off for a long time. |
So it took a few visits but we got to the point where playing tennis again seemed possible. It takes time to build real strength & break old movement habits that contribute to injury.
She works long hours at her job so it was important to have a training plan that she could do anywhere, anytime.
Of course there were a few setbacks-- this is real life. But by the spring, she was out on the court hitting the ball. And since she wanted to compete, she had to work her way back onto her old team. Everyone was surprised to see her after such a long layoff.
We only meet every other week for an hour. We discuss any dings that may have popped up and address them. We tweak her training routine. We go after smart eating & supplementing strategies. Oh, and we laugh... a lot.

This package will help you learn to exercise in a smart way and to change your diet in a sustainable way with support throughout the month from me. You may also just be looking to refine and dial in your eating, and a month’s worth of work with me will help you do that. The month package tends to keep people more accountable because of the weekly contact we have.
In our first conversation, I’ll get an idea of your current situation and your goals. I’ll make suggestions and give you two weeks to make changes. After two weeks, we’ll have another hour-long conversation and we’ll make further tweaks if necessary.
Long-Term Package (2 or more months) ::
This is for you if you know that you need a lot of support to make big changes. It’s the same set-up as the one-month package above – we just work together for more than one month. We’ll be able to make large changes to your diet in small steps.

If you just want to ask a few questions and get yourself up to speed on a few things, this is what you want. We can’t do too much work in just one hour, but it’s definitely enough to let me get to know who you are, what your goals are, and then give you suggestions you can implement right away.

Physical therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic care provided relief but hadn't enabled me to return to tennis. Since meeting Russell 6 months ago, and going through ARPwave Strength Training and performing a few simple exercises, I have gained strength and flexibility. For the first time in 5 years, I returned to playing tennis this season. Highly recommend.
